“The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive, keeping us alert and ready to avoid danger. Stress becomes negative when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between challenges. As a result, the person becomes overworked and stress-related tension builds.”
I have a strong appreciation for the human body. I believe in the body's ability to heal itself and that massage therapy is one of the many ways to help restore health and wholeness to the body. In 2009 I graduated from Utopia Academy, Vancouver to become a Registered Massage Therapist. Prior to that, I worked as a Medic in the rural areas of Northern, BC.
I understand that no two sessions are alike. Everyone has their own set of life experiences and a unique relationship to their body, which deeply affects their personal massage style preferences and needs. With this understanding and life experience, I try to tailor each massage session to the needs of my clients.
I have found success in treating such things as headaches, TMJ (jaw pain), upper/low back pain due to poor posture, pre/post pregnancy massage and swelling requiring Manual Lymph Drainage
Trigger point release
Neuro muscular release
Pre & post pregnancy
Manual lymphatic drainage
Postural alignment techniques
T.M.J intraoral (jaw pain)
